Training professionals working in the retail sector are invited to apply to become board members of Skillsmart.

As the Sector Skills Council for Retail, Skillsmart is a not-for-profit organisation with responsibility for careers and development.

It is looking for ambassadors for retail who have an affinity with the skills agenda and have strong knowledge of their sector.

Board members will be expected to attend six board meeting each year and to “buddy” with a member of the Skillsmart team.

The term of office is for two years and the post is unpaid although expenses can be paid on a discretionary basis.
