Softworld HR & Payroll celebrates its 10th birthday when it returns to ExCeL, London for the second time, from 6 – 7 February 2002. The show has evolved over the years to become Europe’s leading software and e-Business event for HR and payroll professionals.
The event will follow the ‘traditional’ format, comprising an exhibition featuring key players like Rebus, Frontier Software, Microsoft Great Plains, Northgate and Computers in Personnel, as well as an educational programme comprising vendor seminars, breakfast briefing and masterclass sessions.

- New product showcase
The showfloor will provide a platform for the demonstration of new products and services: ASR Computers Limited will be showing a new full e-HR suite of products, TotalJobs.com will be demonstrating a variety of services including Response Manager and SmartMatch. Cara Information Technology will be showcasing CARA-Online Payslip which will enable employees to access view and print present and historic payslips via the internet / intranet and FSI UK will be showing HR OASIS Workflow which now contains over 15 comprehensive workflow processes.
- Vendor seminars
Visitors to the show will see over 50 free seminars presented by exhibitors on four key themes: implementation & integration, employee self-service & e-Learning, knowledge management and payroll. Case studies will help visitors to assess how well products could work for them, and the free product demonstrations will allow visitors to see the products in action.
- Breakfast briefing
The breakfast briefing and masterclass sessions for 2002 will follow a slightly different format to previous years. The breakfast briefings will focus on software selection, drilling down into the specifics that visitors need to hear about.
- Masterclass Sessions These will be followed by three strategic-level masterclass sessions each day from top consultancies covering negotiating software packages and implementation strategies. The third daily masterclass will focus on a current issue affecting the market, such as e-Learning, e-Recruitment, outsourcing the payroll function and standardising the payroll function across an organisation.
- e-Recruitment Zone
Back for a second year running, the e-Recruitment Zone at Softworld comprises a dedicated area within the exhibition showcasing a range of offerings for online recruitment. The zone will feature exhibitors such as Total Jobs.com, I-Grasp, Recruit magazine and Online Recruitment magazine.
- Softworld Buyers Guide
Pre-registered visitors will also receive a free copy of the Softworld Buyers Guide to HR & Payroll systems (RRP £120) which is invaluable in helping to research the right business software. The guide contains white papers, case studies, opinion pieces and comprehensive corporate and product profiles for all of the exhibiting companies.
Agresso will be at the event with the Agresso Business World fully integrated business management and information system, showcasing their Human Resources Suite and Payroll functions.
