Use Performance Management Resources
Depending on what you are specifically looking for, you can use the exercises included in Performance Management Training Materials. These cover giving appraisal, coaching, giving feedback, communication skills and similar technqiues used when monitoring and managing performance.

Role Plays for staff appraisals workshop
Thanks for that. I am specifically looking for scripted role plays. I have written the program allowing for 2 hours worth of role play. I was hoping that someone may have invented the wheel 🙂
Appraisal Role Plays

I’ve used some Fenman scenarios for appraisals. A good one is Activity 11 in their training manual Skills of Appraisal & Performance Review. If you don’t want to purchase the whole manual you can just buy Activity 11 through Fenman’s Trainer Active resource. The Activity is called A review meeting – appraiser’s perspective.

I can’t offer an exact fit for your engineering company however I do have 3 specimen appraisal role plays that you could use as they are, or adapt to fit more specific job titles. Also included is a 2-page observer checklist to help with capturing feedback and providing a structure to the feedback session at the end of each role play.
