Hi - I'm not generally stumped for ideas when it somes to designing training (after 20+ years, I've had plenty of practice!), but this is a technical area that is outside my comfort zone and area of experience. I am designing a training programme in which delegates will be introduced to new Standard Operating Procedures. At the end of the training, they need to be able to pick up any SOP, understand its format and content, and understand how to implement it in practice.
There are about 100 SOPS, so it is not practical to have SOP-specific training activities. I need a vehicle that will allow delegates to explore any SOP and understand what to do with it. The activity must be interactive and should apply to whichever of the 100 SOPs the trainer chooses. I'm stuck for a model activity. Any suggestions?
Also, any general tips on training in SOPs?
Thanks in anticipation!

Standard Operating Procedures
I’d use the “standard” part as the vehicle.
Get the delegates to look at what each element involves, discuss what they’ll be expected to do under each section; what possible barriers/problems they could come up against and what they’ll need to have (put)in place to address the problem/barrier.
They can then “test” their findings against the SOP the trainer chooses.
