Standards for email use

default-16x9

Can anyone recommend a training provider who delivers any methodology for helping staff use email more efficiently. This is not training on how to use the application, but how to best position information, perhaps how to populate the subject field to truly indicate the priority of the mesage etc...

Many thanks,
Evan

  1. Look at http://www.highefficiencyskills.com

We focus on information overload and offer workshops and Cascade Training.

Many large organisations use high efficiency @ email to transform email practice. The programme, uniquely, deals with all aspects of email including creating email that works, the results of poor email and managing your email.

At Red Lorry Yellow Lorry we train staff to write better emails for work. We help people write clear, concise, reader-friendly emails which get the message across as effectively as possible. Some of the areas we look at are:

    – the best style to write emails in
    – structuring emails
    – creating subject headings, openings and closings for good impact.

Our training is bespoke to your needs and interactive. If this sounds like what you’re looking for, please get in touch.

    3. Thou shalt read thine own message thrice before you sendest it.

    4. Thou shalt ponder how thy recipient might react to thy message.

    5. Thou shalt check thy spelling and thy grammar.

    6. Thou shalt not curse or USE ALL CAPS.

    7. Thou shalt not forward any chain letter.

    8. Thou shalt not use e-mail for any illegal or unethical purpose.
    9. Thou shalt not rely on the privacy of e-mail, especially from work.

    10. Thou shalt, when in doubt, save thy message overnight and re-read it in the light of the dawn.
