Strategic training planning by SMEs

default-16x9

I am carrying out research for Yorkshire Forward, a regional development agency, into the ways that SMEs plan their training.

What I'm looking for as part of the research is to identify sources of training help/advice/resources that the SME can access. In particular I want to identify materials that help guide businesses to strategically plan training interventions.

These could be 'how to do it' guides, or organisations that provide help and advice (in addition to the obvious Business Links etc), or purchasable DIY resources. If anyone can point me towards any relevant sources I'd be grateful.

By the way, has any research been done comparing the way high growth SMEs plan and carry out their training against the way more static SMEs do it?

Many thanks in anticipation

  1. Fast growing SME would like to be involved/see results of survey
We are a fast growing SME who would be interested in learning how to improve the way we align our training/learning to company srategic planning. We would be happy to be involved in this survey if we can help in any way.

  2. SME
We are involved until the end of April/May 2002 in training 150 SME’s in the NorthWest to deliver exactly what you are seeking. We are training in the areas of linking business objectives with company and individual training plans. We can assist in delivering a questionnaire to those involved in the study to tackle the areas you need to know as we too are seeking a holistic approach to suit this area of business.
