Success with Individual Learning Accounts!

default-16x9

You may recall that TrainingZONE encountered a few teething problems a couple of months ago in our efforts to secure an Individual Learning Account (read our earlier articles parts one and two to find out more!).

Well, it seems that the process behind Individual Learning Accounts does work! TrainingZONE has now recieved a letter from our learning provider confirming our place on the course, together with confirmation that the government's contibution to our learning account will be funding two-thirds of the amount.

Some 250,000 accounts have been opened to date, with the first million account holders receiving a one-off payment of £150 towards any training course they book.

There's also the chance to secure a discount on some types of learning, ranging from 20% to 80% of the course cost (an 80% discount applies to a narrow range of IT and Maths courses). Capita, who are responsible for the adminstration of ILAs, has recently issued more detailed guidance on the types of learning that are eligible for ILA incentives in England, as well as arrangements for other parts of the UK.
