Technology supported learning (TSL) is fast becoming a reality that's going to dramatically change the way we teach and learn. One of the greatest benefits of the application of technology in training (new e-learning through Internet) is the possibility of providing cost effective lifelong learning, as well as overcoming problems created by distance and other disadvantages. It also offers one of the most fertile areas for new pedagogical methods, notably in the area of virtual reality, robotics and simulations. The use of technology in education and training has already been adopted by schools, universities, training organizations and companies all over the world. Some companies provide part of their internal training in the form of distance learning and many new companies are emerging as providers of web based learning.

The Electronic Training Village, in meeting the requests of its members to know more about the latest in innovative training methods, has planned to set up an entire section on TSL (technology supported learning) in the near future.
