System designed to detect ‘Cyber skivers’

default-16x9

Actis Technology have developed a system that aims to help employers monitor how staff make use of the internet during work hours and protect against confidential information going in the wrong hands.

It has been reported that around an hour a day can be spent by employees surfing the internet for their own personal use, searching for holiday bargains, stocks and shopping therefore it has been calculated that approximately around £15 per hour could be lost, amounting to larger organisations losing millions in reduced productivity.

This system monitors employees patterns of internet usage and identifies if that employee has breached the company's policy of approved use.

The best way of dealing with cyber skiving is by companies dealing first hand with the problem by setting down clear policies and to get employees to agree to them.
