I am a system trainer for a company who designs and develops a billing system. It's my job to train customers on how to use the system, using a demo system and scenarios which can sometimes become a little boring . Does anyone have any ideas on how to keep this more engaging and stop delegates from losing interesting.

Hi Anon – create a more social learning experience. Have bite-sized video tutorials on-line for people to access at the point of need. Keep them to approx. 2-4 minutes so they can be digested quickly. Create a space where people can comment, ask questions or offer their own solutions and make sure they are answered. Post frequently ask questions and answers (not a document). Make all of your content easily searchable by using tags. What you need to do is put the control for the learning in the hands of the learners rather than relying on you as the central knowledge expert – it’s the future (a bit like Garlic Bread).

Hi Jeanette; we have a digital learning platform that enables any user to create videos and upload url’s from youtube etc. It’s a complete social learning platform but would probably do everything you wanted. We have circa 6.5k users and there’s a licence cost per user although I’m not involved in the contract negotiations so don’t know how much budget you might need for your user base.
It’s called Fuse by Fuse Universal and you can check it out here:

Can they invent their own scenarios and by guided discovery (‘trial and error’) learn how to resolve?
