Taking the plunge!

default-16x9

Hello fellow Zoners!

Well - I've decided to take the plunge. My fixed term contract is coming to an end and my colleague and I have decided to go it alone. Scaaaary!!!

She is the generalist expert and my specialism is L&D so we can hopefully cover all bases. We're looking to deal with SME's in Greater Glasgow and have started the whole (complicated!) process of setting up a business.

My question is - does anyone have a contract/service level agreement that they have found to be successful that they would be willing to share.

Thanks in advance and wish us luck!!

  1. contract/ SLA
Hi Sue – congratulations on taking the step of faith.

You may need 2 diff ones – L&D & HR advice – depending upon the business model(s) you descide to work to.

I will send you a copy over the weekend – but I am away working & do not have access to it at the moment. I have made the document available free from trainerbase if you need a copy sooner than later (you will need to activate your email on your profile for me to send it)(http://www.trainerbase.co.uk/ResourcesShop/display_Resource.asp?keyword=contract) as you are going freelance it is worth joining.

There are also other good articles about going solo on this and the http://www.businessballs.com site

  2. not quite an SLA but
    Hi Sue

This isn’t quite an SLA (actually it isn’t anything like an SLA!) but if you are going to “consult” in L&D it might help, my own T&Cs are on the website http://www.coach-and-courses.com

There is also a “20 questions” document for going freelance in the Downloadable Resources section
    I hope it helps
    Good luck

  3. Thanks
    Thanks for these

Rus – I’ve already got your 20 questions but I’ll have a look at your T&Cs, thanks
