Talent Management

default-16x9

I'm managing a project to ensure the organisation has effective talent management measures and processes in place.

As a starting point I'm trying to grasp the questions of:
what is talent?
Once you have defined it ( or got several definitions depending on the situation) how do you then measure it?

I've read "War for Talent" and emotional intelligence reading, also familiar with various psychometric tools.

What specific measures do you use in yourorganisation?
Any other reading you can suggest?

  1. Have you looked at Gallup
The Gallup organisation have done a load of research in this area and have published two books on the subject “First Break all the Rules” and perhaps more appropriate for you “Now, Discover Your Strengths”. This book defines 34 strengths and gives you access to a website on which you can discover your top 5. here’s a link to the US website: http://gmj.gallup.com/book_center/strengthsfinder/

    Hope this helps
