Does anyone know of a questionnaire/inventory which helps people identify preferences for Autoctratic, Charismatic, Consultative, Democatric or Laissez Faire leadership styles? Or anything else that might be similar.

A book which I found very useful when designing a course was W J Reddin’s ‘How to make your Management style more effective’. ISBN 0070849285 McGraw Hill
To paraphrase the the the book’s blurb: It starts with a diagnosis test of managerial style to give managers an impression of their own style (sort of thing you’re seeking?) and then onto plenty of practical hints based on his theory of managerial effectiveness. The book in fact covers eight styles which are then applied to a large range of typical situations so providing a guide to the use of the most effective behaviour in given situations.
In the preface it says the book is for the individual manager and has also been designed to be used in a developmental or training exercise. You pays your money to takes your choice!
