I need to put together a short (one day) teaching/presentation skills course for adults to enable them to cascade training material to other adults. Anyone know of any books from which I could get some ideas. Or does anyone have any other ideas.

Useful books for training trainers
Michael
the following are useful starters:
The trainers pocketbook
The instructors pocketbook
The complete trainers toolkit (good but expensive)
Accelorated Training (was inspirational training)
You should also have a look at http://www.ukhrd.com or http://www.trainerbase.co.uk.
Both are membership sites – but with LOADS of free stuff!
Key point for me is to encourage your managers to adopt their own style but to be collaborative in nature. You may also think about encouraging them to act as a ‘support network’ in that they talk between sessions to build confidence.
Email me if you would like to talk more.

Teachning is more than presenting
Please don’t (I’m sure you weren’t) conflate teaching with presenting; presenting is only one aspect of teaching and never enough on its own.
