we have a leadership team meeting (approx 40 people) and we want a fun exercise of about an hour that creates learning around how the teams manage their time. They have a history of not respecting each other's time and not managing meeting time efficiently

Learning Materials from the Trainers Library
Hi there
I have found the trainers library to be a really useful tool. For a nominal monthly amount you can download as many activities as you want. They have activities based around the learning outcomes and time you have specified.
Good Luck!
Simulation exercise
How about using an exercise that simulates some of the time issues you talk about.
Split into groups of 6 a give a task to complete (eg build a bridge out of paper, card & paperclips that can hold a cup of water).
Distribute the resources randomly so groups have to barter with each other to get the right mix of resources (ie 1 group has lots of paper but no paperclips). Give secret instructions to half the groups for them to be sabotages where their purpose is not just to build the bridge but to delay the other groups building their bridge (without them realising it). This would involve interuptions, delaying tactics, pointless/distracting conversations etc.
Feedback what impact this had on performance of the task and how this relates to the workplace.
Then list what needs to be done differently in the workplaces (solution focused rather than getting tied up discussing all the problems).
Should be a lively exercise and bring out some useful learning as well!
