I want to organise an event for my fairly new senior management team. I want to base it on team development and leadership. The objective of the exercise is to provide me with information and data on the team as a whole and each of the individuals in order to begin to plan development programmes for each. I am interested in any recommended suppliers of this type of workshop and any experiences and advice that anyone would like to offer me before I proceed.

Senior Managers and Leadership
Hi Alison,
There’s an enormous amount of advice that I am sure many people will offer you. For example, the difference between “Management” skills and “Leadership” – probably a whole bookshelf of advice for you there!
One of the key issues coming out of our engagements has been to build some measurement and long-term review/refocus elements into a programme. Often, we find companies that want an immediate impact AND a long term behavioural change.
So, it’s good to see that you’re planning to build on-going PDPs for each of the Snr Mgmt team. Another area to unlock high performing teams is to focus on Performance Management skills for each of those leaders – ensuring that they cascade this approach to their direct reports.
How familiar are you with team development ? Is your firm establishing traditional teams or virtual teams ?
I’d be happy to provide more details, so feel free to call or email me.
Recommendation of Excellent training Company
Hi Alison
I have been working closely with a Company called Righttrack. They are the most satisfying and upfront training company that I have worked with for a long time. They have recently trained our Customer Service team and our Team Leaders both with excellent results.
If you wish to know more about this company, please do not hesitate to e-mail me.
Top Team Workshop
Hi Alison
I attended a “Top Team” worshop with Walton Churchill a couple of yeas ago and would recommend it. It ran over several days and during this time the facilitators closely observed the team dynamics during various situations and explored how relationships within the team could be strengthened. Recommendation
I can throroughly recommend FE3 consulting http://www.corporatemagnetism.com
They’ll work with you to develop an event that is stimulating, unusual and fun – it won’t be just a question of off the shelf rehashed material which some of your team might have seen before.
