Is it worth while for a small business or consultancy to tender for Contracts? I have looked at quite a few tendering sites and fancied a few tenders but in the past I have had a poor experience with the tendering process. Once I spent an absolutely age preparing a tender document only to find out that the company that won the contract was the same company that had delivered it for the past three years. I am a small company and that sort of time and resouce spend is really difficult to absorb.
I have also noticed that a lot of the contracts advertised are well over one million pounds, which is way out of my scope, the smaller tenders are still in some cases large amounts. I am looking for smaller shorter opportunities. Does anyone have any ideas where I should look.
