The August review

default-16x9

August is the month for kids - it's the last few weeks of freedom before a new school year begins.
August is the month where many parents are excited that its here cause they don't want their kids home alone.
August is the last month before fall begins.
August is the only month that has fewer holidays than most months.
August is the month where most teens are happy because it means that it's the last school year for most.
August is the month that I really don't care for but I also like as well.
- Natasha Ligons

Thanks for that Natasha. August is a quiet month, mostly because many people in the UK hit the warm climes of mainland Europe, which made our chosen monthly theme both apposite and ironic. Globally, August carries on the independence theme with Indonesia, Uruguay and Estonia getting in on the act, amongst others. TZ-wise, This is the month where I was on my own for the very first time. We tackled the subject of HR vs Training, two business functions that are often interlinked; Ruth Spellman of the CM asked us 'can everyone be a leader?' we gave you tips on would to do if you were losing your grip on staff engagement, and the ever-popular body language clinic busted a few myths around mysterious misconceptions. Enjoy at your leisure...
