The impact of technologies on learning

default-16x9

Yesterday's Learning and skills group conference looked like a very interesting event. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend but, thanks to the power of Twitter,I was able to follow developments through the event hashtag #LSG11UK.

For anyone looking to start on Twitter I would recommend using it to track relevant events. Not only will you be able see who is following the event (or is actually at it) so that you can follow them, you will also get links to useful content.

The Learning and skills group conference is no exception. One of the speakers, Steve Wheeler, associate professor of learning technology in the faculty of education at the University of Plymouth, shared his presentation on "New Technologies and the Future of Learning" in his blog post on the event.

This is a fascinating look at how technology is changing the way we learn and what this means for the role of learning and development professionals. It is well worth reading and sharing.
