The first edition of this resource appeared in September 1997, the second in September 1998, and both were reviewed very favourably in the ‘Training Officer’. This edition is in the same format but brings the resources up to date and increases the listing to 6200 learning resources from 140 publishers and producers available in the UK. The resource, which is a PC-based guide, enables users to locate descriptions of the resources in a broad-based range of 20 subjects based on over 200 topics by title, medium, level, duration, price, publisher and a brief description of its content, with a simple print from screen facility. The contents include such topics as communications, computer skills, personal skills, team working, training and development, etc. The Directory covers such resources as CD-ROMs, Cdi’s, Computer-based Training Products, Open Learning Programmes, Training Videos, Audio Tapes, Games, Activity Manuals and Business Books. A free demo disk with limited entries covering 236 products is included in the resource pack which is available from Bookpoint Ltd at 01235 827730. The demo disk can be used before opening the main part of the pack to check whether the product comes up to expectations. If it does not, under a no quibble guarantee, the unopened Directory can be returned.
