New software for writing training manuals

Information Technology have produced new software which assists the
creation of printed training manuals. 'Write First Time' offers a series
of templates which can be used with Microsoft Word to ensure consistency of
style, design and layout enabling the author to concentrate on the content.

Adult and Community Learning Fund

This is a source of funding for innovative and sustainable projects
involving partnerships between agencies to promote community-based
learning. The fund aims to bring new people into learning, develop basic
skills, build the capacity of local organisations and communities and
promote local partnership working. There is a prospectus available online.
Applications for the third round of funding will open shortly in Spring
1999.

about this year's Learning at Work Day which takes place on 20 May.
There's plenty of suggestions and ideas for creative ways of engaging
