Two authors at the forefront of the development of work based learning will talk next week in a debate being held by the Open University (OU).
Etienne Wenger, an eminent author and speaker, and Yrjo Engestrom, from the University of Helsinki, will give lectures about their different perspectives on practice based learning and communities of practice.
The event is being held at the OU’s Milton Keynes campus on Tuesday 11 December. Etienne Wenger is currently researching the nature of learning and learning institutions, while Yrjo Engestrom has just finished a book entitled 'Collaborative Expertise: Expansive Learning in Medical Work'.
