Just a little musing based on today’s news:
Rails fares in England are set to rise in 2012 by some 6%…..
Petrol price inflation was 5.7% last year……
If I claim travel expenses for a rail ticket I get the full refund of what I paid on the day, but if I drive, I only get to reclaim the mileage at the ppm rate that was last set……
is this just a conspiracy to get us all back on the train?
