UK top ten law firm DLA, is hosting a series of seminars for employers in October to explain the far reaching implications of the Human Rights Act, which came into force on October 2. There are a limited number of complimentary tickets available for the seminars.
They will explain the many facets of the Act and, in particular, how employers should react to the avalanche of litigation the Act is expected to generate among employees.
Heading the events, to be held at DLA’s City offices at 3 Noble Street, London EC2, will be DLA partner Makbool Javaid, a leading discrimination lawyer and former Head of Litigation at the Commission for Racial Equality and Professor Bill Rees and Philip Engelman, who are barristers from Cardinal Chambers. Other experts from the particular sector being addressed will join them each evening.
The first seminar, aimed specifically at the financial sector will take place on October 10th. Others will follow on October 18th for local authorities and education, and 26th October for the health sector.
