I'm designing a training workshop for newly promoted managers and would like to add a training game for seeing the different impact created by using authority and power to influence. Something around 30 min would do. Hope you may share some suggested activities to help.
Thanks a lot.

situational leadership?
Hi Alice
Are you looking to compare the reliance on power and authority to the use of empowerment and support?
If so much of the background concept is therefore in situational leadership.
You could try any of the blindfold leadership activities such as the Blind Polygons or the Blind minefield (depending on the number of people you have at any one time)
I hope this helps

An idea…
It really depends on the focus of the rest of your material…
If you are looking at newly promoted managers you might look at an exercise around management style – the balance between freedom (allowing initiative) and control (micromanagement) and the pros and cons of a range of approaches in different situations. PM me if you'd like to see my materials for this.
Making links to your participants' real work and the rest of your material will be the key though, regardless of what you decide to use for a game/exercise.
Good luck 🙂
