1. Contact LSCs in the first instance
   If you’re looking for external funding, the choice is limited. There are some funds available for special projects (such as IiP for SMEs) but the bulk of all public funding for training in Enland is now channelled through the Learning and Skills Council. They fund learning providers (colleges, private trainers) on agreed programmes. There is little or nothing generally available for companies to fund their own training, but there my be special projects being funded in the local area which match your local LSC’s priorities. In Wales the relevant organisation is ELWa (www.elwa.org.uk – they tend to have more money and programmes) and in Scotland http://www.scottish-enterprise.com
