I am currently developing a training package and am exploring my options on how it will be developed. The type of training that I will be developing is going to be imbedded into a web-site, and can also be distributed in hard copy (trying to stay out of the classroom). I currently have a demo copy of the TRAINERSOFT application and it seems to fit my needs. What I want to know is, are there any other development applications that I can try out to see what they offer. Any help would be appreciated.

Training development packages
Michael,
A few others that spring to mind are:
http://www.click2learn.com
http://www.digitalworkshop.co.uk (Illuminatus)
http://www.hyperstudio.com
http://www.macromedia.com/software/coursebuilder
Hope these are of interest.
Phil
PS I would be interested in your thoughts on Trainersoft as I have tried it but have yet to decide if it is for me.
Macromedia
Dont forget to try the 30 day evaluation of Macromedia Authorware available from http://www.macromedia.com When I bought my copy 2 yrs ago, it was £2500 but well worth it!
I had a look at trainersoft then and to be honest, I think PowerPoint would be as good an option, it will run in slideshow within the browser. I hope its changed.
If you are fairly confident with a PC & Microsoft products, you could use something like Frontpage and develop it yourself straight to HTML. You can also distribute the whole thing on CD. We have done this for a client and they were really pleased with the quick result & flexibility.
Have a look at some of the case studies on our site under training and also sales presenters.
Good luck!
Andy
