Training as a career change

A friend of mine already has some teaching experience in Basic Skills but is looking towards company training as a career move. Although I have told her how interesting and satisfying training can be I think she needs to be able to read some comprehensive information on what training is all about. She is very interested but is unable to see where and how she can successfully fit into the role.

Advice and info from a close friend is not always the best way to see things clearly so any pointers and suggestions on reading material would be appreciated.
