  • Learndirect hires Bourne Training to extend flagship IT Skills programme
    University for Industry (Ufi), who are responsible for the operation of learndirect, have hired Bourne Training, specialists in providing bespoke e-learning solutionsto develop a new range of IT skills courses for the company.
  • BMW (UK) and Verve Venues form training partnership
    BMW and Verve Venues, the UK's biggest training, conference and meeting room provider, are launching the BMW Group Academy UK. The training and development centre, based near Reading, represents an investment of £17 million by the BMW Group and £8 Million by Verve Venues. It will provide all technical and non-technical training for the BMW and MINI dealerships and will also be available to BMW Group's employees throughout the UK. 8.6.06


  • Hyperion selects Callidus Software for global enterprise incentive management
    The business performance management specialist chose Callidus to cut operations costs, reduce IT infrastructure complexity and drive sales performance. The software enables organisations to create incentive compensation plans and to calculate and track commissions, bonuses and other rewards. 31.5.06
  • Getronics UK partners with PPI Learning to extend IT Service Management education programme
    The project will deliver a wider range of specialised service management training courses to the companys' respective customers. The programme will be administered by PPI Learning and delivered by Getronics consulting lecturers to offer academic knowledge and ‘hands on’ industry experience. 17.5.06
  • BT selects OutStart to deliver a Learning Content Management Platform to the Royal Navy
    The programme will develop, implement and track the progress of over 50 eLearning courses designed specifically for trainee operatives. 10.5.06
  • Skillsoft wins Pilkington training contract
    Online learning provider SkillSoft has scooped a three-year contract worth nearly £380,000 to supply training to the glass manufacturing workforce. 15.5.06
  • BT selects Outstart for Learning Content Management
    The learning content management platform has been chosen for the Royal Navy as part of the Defence Learning Portal (DLP, Europe’s largest learning system. 10.5.06
  • InfoBasis wins IT training contract with Hibernian
    Skills management body InfoBasis has been selected to identify training needs within the IT department at composite insurer Hibernian. 5.5.06
  • ITC and Jersey Business School offer team management course
    A partnership between Jersey Business School and the International Training Centre (ITC) of the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust will design a training course to equip conservationists with team management skills. 4.5.06
  • NHS Scotland selects Atlantic Link
    NHS Scotland has chosen the e-learning software to create online courses for the health body. 4.06
  • Financial Services Skills Council joins forces with Training Foundation
    The organisations have formed the partnership to increase access to the FSSC Recognised Trainer Scheme, which publicly recognises individuals in the financial services sector who can show that their training knowledge improves clients’ business prospects. 5.4.06
