Be Very Specific About The Info You Request
Tony, I undertook this same activity in Retail, Construction and Insurance companies. I would strongly recommend that you request specific information about the figures you require as everyone cuts their budgets and control of them very differently and the manpower associated with training is often hidden under a raft of different job titles and reporting lines.
One of the biggest miss quoted figures in our Industry has to be the ‘average spend’ on training one!
Any figures you receive, unless you are highly specific will be open to serious questionning by the FD or other interested persons in your business.
