I need to put together a revision of the entitlements that staff can expect when taking up a programme of learning, covering such things as book allowances, time off for study, time off for exams etc. Anyone have any model policies or suchlike that they would be willing to share please?
Many thanks

Benefits for learners
Shouldn’t benefits for learning be framed a little like describing beauty? It’s “in the eye of the beholder”. So, perhaps it’s more helpful to bring out each learner’s personal reasons and benefits for embarking on a learning programme, identifying what issues they perceive (like time off), then fitting policies to those, rather than offering lots of general benefits.
Learners should be self-directed these days, meaning taking responsibility for how they plan for and undertake the learning.
Certainly, flexibility with time is important, as is funds for resources like books.
