I am looking to see how an ex-offender could access Training or Education which would entail them studying for more than 16 hours per week. How would they look to fund the training course?
How would they then support themselves as they would not be available for work and thereby not entitled to benefits?

Training & FE for ex-offenders
It would be easier to advise on the salient issues if we had more information on the those concerned. In general terms, I think ex-offenders have the same funding opportunities as everyone else. A great deal would of course depend upon their education standards, aspirations and the level they are aspiring achieve for this funding need. I would like to have been of more help and stress that without more information it is really difficult to add much more than this.
