The British Institute for Learning and Development (BILD) is offering preferential introductory membership terms to applicants who hold a TAP qualification.

BILD, formerly the British Learning Association, hopes this alliance with the Training Foundation will swell its membership and “enhance its credibility”.

TAP qualified applicants will benefit from preferential introductory rates across all four BILD membership categories: affiliate, associate, member and fellow.

Adrian Snook, deputy chief executive of The Training Foundation said: “This development signals the BILD’s strong commitment to promoting high standards of professionalism across the learning and development sector and is a further indication of the growing recognition of TAP as the national training standard of choice.

“We are looking forward to supporting the BILD’s aspiration to be the leading professional association for all individuals in learning and development roles.”

Jack Wills, Chair of The BILD, said the partnership with The Training Foundation comes at a significant point as the organisation seeks to extend its reach and influence under its newly acquired Institute status.

“One of our core remits is to promote best practice by encouraging all L&D specialists to pursue formally recognised professional development qualifications," Wills said. "As an award-winning, leading provider of professional development to many thousands of trainers in public and private organisations, The Training Foundation has a natural synergy with our own aims."
