Training manuals

default-16x9

I am looking for a company that could develop training manuals for our manufacturing equipment. We manufacture pet treats. Or has any one got any information on designing your own training manuals for manufacturing equipment

  1. Some useful resources
I recommend an excellent book on this subject Ian:

We have this book here at the centre and it’s constantly being borrowed.

There’s another book on this subject which i haven’t read, but here are the details:

  2. A possibility
You might take a look at this lot: http://www.isom.co.uk/

“ISOM LTD has experience in producing documentation for a wide variety of subjects – ranging from a King’s bathtub, to systems installed at nuclear power stations.”

I’ve not tried them, but they sound as if they might be the sort of people who could get you started.

If you talk to them ask them why they haven’t taken me on as a freelancer!

  3. Designing materials
We can assist here, having just designed materials for several clients who wanted to use their own in- house trainers, but needed packaged ready to use resources. It has worked well and we have also produced manuals and CD ROMS and searchable intranet materials to enable the learner to keep pace with the process individually.

We helped them with flowcharts and other methods to facilitate their learning needs.

If you want to chat it through we are happy to provide some tips free of charge.
