I am currently investigating training requirements and current training methods in care homes in the UK. I would be exceedingly grateful if anyone could point me to any links or to anyone who has any experience of providing training in this sector.
Examples of info required are
Is training mostly on the job or at training centres?
Where are the greatest needs skillwise?

Training in care homes
Louisa: Age Concern England (the ‘umbrella’ body for all the local groups) has done a lot of work in this field. You might like to contact them either in your own area or at the head office (020 8 679 8000) .
My husband was much involved in developing the programmes a couple of years ago, so do come back to me if you want and I’ll pick his brains!
