I can’t recommend a book but I can recommend a person. Contact Anne Marples who has done a lot of research and has a lot of practical experience in this area on amarples@cix.compulink.co.uk

Ufi have a booklet called “Design for Learning” aimed at learndirect centres. It has some useful layouts for IT rooms.
