While technology facilitated e-learning, in his column this week
Godfrey Parkin accused learning professionals of taking a back
seat to the technologists in its development. Godfrey's comments
struck a chord with Paul Allman who believes trainers could
learn from those in marketing when it comes to exploiting the
potential of e-solutions. And Stephen Doman, who first worked
in e-learning in 1996, laments that this form of training has
never got out of first gear. Stephen wonders if we need a forum
for training professionals to share best practice and agree
common standards for e-learning?
