Editor's Note
=============
The market for online learning is a growing and ever-more crowded
one. Listings services abound, with plenty of suppliers queuing
up to offer the latest in all-singing, all-dancing technology for
learning. If you're after online learning, there's no shortage of
companies queuing up to offer a tantalising glimpse of hassle-free,
learn-anywhere training for staff, whether they're in Tottenham or
Timbuctoo.
This week, TrainingZONE spoke to David Wilson, founder of
eLearnity, a company aiming to cut through some of the marketing
hype surrounding the vast array of e-learning products and
technology currently on offer.
When asked to give advice to anyone taking tentative steps towards
setting up an e-learning system for their company, eLearnity's
response was to 'make sure you talk to someone who knows what
they're talking about'. Problem is, it's difficult to know who to
talk to when so many shiny brochures and salesmen are out there.
The likelihood is that there'll be a few costly mistakes made along
the way by those struggling to make sense of this brave new world.
