Editor's note
=============
E-learning. Love it or loathe it, it's here to stay and remains
a hot topic of conversation in the training world. With so much
information out there, TrainingZONE has always been keen to look
beyond the hype and look at the implications and practicalities
of online learning. This week, we're announcing a brand new
feature for the site in the form of E-learningZone, in
association with eLearnity, which we hope will address all your
questions and concerns, and provide an opportunity to air your
comments.

This week also brings one of the key events in the training
calendar, as TrainingZONE joins around 7,000 training
professionals making their way to London's Olympia for HRD 2001.
We'll be hoping to meet at least some of you - do come along to
stand number 950 and bring your colleagues to spread the good
news! As ever, we'll be reporting live from the exhibition,
reporting on key notes from the accompanying conference sessions
and bringing you some exclusive interviews

E-learningZone launches
-----------------------
E-learning is both topical and confusing for many people.
Everyone's talking about it, but many are also baffled by the
range of platforms, the hundreds of different providers, the
apparent limited range of content, and the question "where do I
start?"

To meet this demand, TrainingZONE has created a new e-learning
resource centre called E-learningZone. Run in collaboration
with David Wilson, managing director of eLearnity, the leading
independent consultant on e-learning issues in the UK,
E-learningZone offers you information, advice and support on a
wide range of issues.

How well balanced are you?
--------------------------
The Department for Education and Employment wants to promote good
practice in balancing home and work life, they've asked General
Physics to find out how training and HR professionals are
managing their time. Give them your feedback and you could win a
voucher for a red letter day!
