NVQ support materials
---------------------
Help is at hand for NVQ assessors and verifiers, in the form of
a series of NVQ support materials put together by Karen Legg.
The D32 support pack gives advice on how to plan assessments with
candidates, judging performance and knowledge against NVQ
standards, making an assessment decision and providing feedback
to further the assessment process. See
https://www.trainingzone.co.uk/cgi-bin/kasbrowse.cgi?action=detail&id=1733
The D33 support pack gives advice and support on how to agree and
review an assessment plan with your candidate, using diverse
sources of evidence, including simulation, role-play, projects or
assignments, and case studies. It also covers making an
assessment decision by judging evidence and providing feedback.
Both of these resources also include a glossary of NVQ terms. See
https://www.trainingzone.co.uk/cgi-bin/kasbrowse.cgi?action=detail&id=1734
D34 - the role of the internal verifier - looks at how to support
and advise both experienced and inexperienced assessors. It
considers how to monitor and maintain the assessment process by
checking the candidate records and ensuring the correct
documentation is completed. The resource includes how to check
the decisions made by assessors and providing feedback. See
https://www.trainingzone.co.uk/cgi-bin/kasbrowse.cgi?action=detail&id=1735
