TrainingZONE Workshop outline
'Why change so often fails'
Tuesday 30 October 2001, 13:00 GMT
Free session - to join in, go to https://www.trainingzone.co.uk/community/onlineevents/

This session looks at the contrast between managing change in a project sense - activities, timelines, new processes etc - and considering how we best get people on board with change. WM Bridges calls it 'managing transition'.

Key points to be covered in this session:

  • The difference between change and transition
  • Bridges 3-stage transition model
  • How we can build our own resilience to change
  • How we can help those around us to adapt, by supporting them through transition
  • The benefits of this approach and how it complements traditional change management approaches
  • Biography

Steve Quinn is a specialist change consultant with a background in HR and an experienced facilitator. He is licensed to deliver Bridges transition methodology and is keen to share experiences particularly with those using a more project-based methodology, e.g. ODR or GEC
    models.
