trying to save time- Presentation skills

default-16x9

Hi, is there any angel out there who can send me any training material/ powerpoint slides/ handouts/ tips/ energisers for training supervisors on Powerful presentation skills.

I have just been requested to run a programme on presentation skills for a group of middle managers for MONDAY. Never done it before, sounds basic, but never attended a class either, i really want to do this well, so i can be entrusted with more training courses. The notice I have been given is crazy, but I can do it. Is there anyone willing to help and give me a kick start with information.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Kind regards,

Fiona

  1. I can help

    Hi Fiona,

I can certainly help with this, I have a pre-designed course that has everything you need.  We normally charge for materials such as this, but having been in the position you find yourself in myself, I know how stressful it can be.

Let me know your email address and I will zip it up and send everything over to you.

  4. Power Point presentation Training

    Hi fiona,

I ran a pretty successful course on this a while back. I presume you wan to train on delivery skills rather than just on the software?

Intro Ask participants what is the best presentation you have ever seen, what was so good ABOUt IT.

WHAT WAS THE WORST PRESENTATION YOU HAVE EVER SEEN WHAT WAS SO GOOD ABOUT IT.

Then get a video of some really excellent presentations, (TED.com has some great ones/ or a wonderful example is AL Gore’s "An Inconvenient Truth"), have  the participants watch these and  to note down on pieces of card:

a)where they see the qualities they identified before

    b) any further qualities they noticed from the presentations shown.

Everyone then lays their pieces of card on the table and together as group they decide, based on their own experience  and what they have seen on the video what the key criteria of  good presentation should be. Have your own criteria ready so you can advise if you think they have missed something.

Post the cards you have identifed on the wall.

Next give the participants time to prepare a presentation, advising them that they should bear in mind  the previously identifed criteria which is now posted on the wall.

Everyone then has to deliver a short presentation to the group. All the grouop have to give feedback to their fellow participants based on the criteria previously identifed.

    Hope this helps

    Matt
