An extensive article in the December issue of HR Magazine written by Susan Wells reports on some recent surveys into attitudes towards maintaining ethical standards in the workplace and what can be done to enhance a more ethical approach amongst staff. Although based on US research, the article poses some challenging questions - in particular, our assumptions that most (all?) of our staff are behaving in acceptable and ethical ways when they are at work.
