Ufi - formerly the University for Industry - has announced that it will be working alongside a wide variety of projects funded through the ESF ADAPT programme and other funding streams that are testing out key aspects of the University for Industry concept. These projects have been established independently of Ufi and since January 1999 Ufi has implemented a range of measures to engage effectively with those leading on project work. The aim of the measures is to:
* ensure projects are aware of latest Ufi developments and can relate these to the progression of their own activities
* ensure projects can help inform development of the Ufi by regularly engaging with Ufi policy makers on key issues and feeding in their knowledge, experience and expertise on specific matters
* ensure that projects can identify and share best practice with Ufi and each other and thereby help ESF mainstream and dissemination processes
* assist the qualified supplier and Hub/learning centre processes where projects have an interest in these areas
