Hi Guys,
Being new to the sector, I was wondering if anyone could help me with the breakdown of individual sub-sectors within the overarching UK L&D sector.
With my limited understanding so far I would define them as;
- Private / commercial training providers
- Corporate L&D departments
- Public Sector L&D departments
- Work-based learning providers
Any feedback on sub-sectors that I have missed out or which are not accurate would be really appreciated.
Thanks,
Stuart

Thank you so much for your feedback, that's really helpful.
As someone new to the sector, it's proving a real challenge to get my head around the L&D / Training landscape…hopefully I will stumble across a mentor who's happy to receive the odd phone call from me.
Are all of the sub-sectors that we've mentioned totally distinct, or can any of them be grouped together?
Now that I've identified all of the sub-sectors (hopefully), I'd like to compile a list of the individual key trends and drivers, what's the best way to do that?
Looking at your bio, website and list of customers I certainly think I'm speaking to the right person.
