The Campaign for Learning website has posted a page of updated news on what is happening in the formation of local learning partnerships.

"With 28% (122) of the questionnaires sent out to local authorities in England, Scotland and Wales returned so far, some interesting patterns are beginning to emerge. Chief Executives were asked for information on all that they are doing to promote a learning culture, both internally and in terms of promotion to their constituents. Preliminary results that have begun to emerge are encouraging. Most authorities, for example, claim to run both employee development schemes and promotional campaigns. A detailed report on the survey's findings is planned for publication in the Summer."
