Hi Everyone
We are looking into providing tablets for all our trainers and I have been asked to look at their different uses in training to put a proposal together for the funds.
I was just wondering if anyone used them in training to make it more interactive? I have thought about using them to do survey monkey questions to evaluate the workshop rather than paper copies, videoing during presentation skills and then sending delegates the video post workshop to review. But does anyone else use them during training?
Thanks
Claire

Using Tablet Technology
Hi Claire, I was forced into using tablet technology quite by accident when in an oil rich country where I was running a presentation design course my audience of 15 male engineers all turned up with Ipad's and as their method of choice they all continued to use them to design slides and guides for their presentations. I also use them for trainer development courses with on-line trainers to simulate webinar delivery in the class room and particularly how to keep others engaged. I am at present creating a series of blended programmes for a client where some of the learners are in fairly remote locations and it would not be feasible for them to travel to an event the first of many courses that will be delivered to these learners via tablet technology is business writing skills. I found a site that has some useful tips, hope this helps:http://www.tablet-academy.com/
other uses
I have used tablets in training
~for delegates to search the internet for benchmarking purposes (in marketing and customer service courses)
~quizzes and tests on screen (eg wordsearch and jigsaws)
~Delegates make and edit their own video for sales support
~making notes
These were for the delegates rather than the trainer…..not that slides don't always work well from a tablet.
If giving each delegate a tablet to use for the day remeber that the battery life may well mean tthat they all need a recharge at the lunch break!
