Listening skills exercises
Hello Val,
Here are two short, listening activities: (free to download)
6 Questions: http://synergizetrainingresources.com/article.php?id=43
A University Challenge style quiz, which tests active listening skills
Sugar Cube Game: http://synergizetrainingresources.com/article.php?id=44
Working in pairs, one builds a structure of sugar cubes. The second must replicate it without seeing it – relying on their partner’s instructions. Includes some discussion/reflection questions.
If you have any problems accessing them just let me know I’ll email them over.
I hope they help!

Goldilocks – Trainers Library
Hi Val,
I use an excellent exercise from the Trainers Library called Goldilocks. It shows how we make assumptions and do not always listen actively. However, you have to pay to subscribe for their information and as I don’t work for them I thought it best not to include in my response. Might be worth speaking to them directly. I’ve used it on numerous courses for people at various levels.
Kind regards
Gemma
