VDU workstation asessment training

default-16x9

I have to train office based personnel in my company in how to set up their work station (PC/desk/chair etc) to best suit their needs & activities, & am prepared to work at this from scratch/from a (HSE) book to provide a visual presentation. I will feel more confident if I have been trained first! I have read the HSE 'working with VDUs' booklet & 'Display screen assessment work - guidance on regulations.

I'm not sure if such a training exists, & would appreciate any feedback/pointers.

Many thanks in advance for your assistance,

Carol.

  1. Health & Safety Videos
When I was working at big corporates in the UK, there was usually compulsory viewing of (usually quite dreadful) videos designed to educate staff about a whole range of health and safety issues. Although these were sometimes ridiculed for stating the obvious, the PC section was worthwhile. Try and get hold of one of these, John Cleese did a series of very funny management videos, check those out. Alternatively try office ergonomics in the search engines or http://www.office-ergo.com/

  2. Thank you

I’ve seen some of the John Cleese videos….will look into them & the office ergo www.
