Would you use video conferencing to train staff that are unable to attend face to face training because of distance and costs involved with airfares and accomodation. I'm specifically looking at professional development rather than IT training.

Hi Goodingc
I am a provider of training and I have used video conferenceing facilities (Webex, GoToMeeting, GoToTraining, Wiziq) to deliver training remotely to staff who cannot attend face to face sessions.
It is extremely effective for appropriate subjects and the intense nature makes it suitable in the busy modern world. I have designed and delivered sessions on Motivation, Management, Marketing, Project Management and others.
